KRAFTON Jungle Essay

I want to be a developer with solid fundamentals!

I’ve always thought that, but I never really knew what "fundamentals" actually meant. Even when I learned the theory, I’d often catch myself thinking, "Is this actually used in the real world?" so it rarely stuck in my head. I really wanted something that could bridge the gap between theory and practice, and I joined Jungle because the curriculum was exactly what I was looking for.

Also, the teamwork that Jungle emphasizes! It’s such a huge plus—and honestly makes me so happy—to learn alongside great teammates and amazing coaches I can look up to, rather than just shutting myself away to code alone.

At the same time, I’m trying to figure out what kind of development path I really want to take. The Jungle curriculum is so good that just learning everything here will make these 5 months the most valuable time of my life, but I still want to have a sense of direction and be able to track how far I’ve come. During my breaks, rather than just blindly working hard, I need to take some time to turn my vague goals into something more concrete.

I can’t quite picture what I’ll be like when this is all over... but I hope I'll have leveled up not just in my dev skills, but in my soft skills too. I really need to practice presenting, as well. Ugh, I still feel like I have a long way to go.

My teammates from the first project and everyone I’ve met so far have been nothing but amazing, so I really hope we all stay strong and make it to graduation together.

Let's do this! To everyone reading this: I know it’s tough, but let’s push through it together!!
